Healing through Understanding

Life can make us question everything about ourselves. How we respond in certain situations, how we make decisions, and how we care for ourselves in general has much to do with how we feel about ourselves. How we treat ourselves informs others how they can treat us. I’m curious about how you care for yourself. How do you set boundaries? How do you advocate for yourself? We will figure this out together. We can’t always change or control what life throws at us, but we can learn to live alongside daily struggles in a healthier and happier way. How does this work? You and I will collaborate to tailor your treatment to your specific needs.

Through a nonjudgmental approach, we will explore the thoughts, behaviors, and relationship experiences that contribute to and maintain current difficulties. Together, we will explore the meaning behind these experiences. What part of the experience impacted you the most and how is it affecting your decisions and behaviors today? The goal of our work together is to create significant and lasting change. Self-reflection in a safe place allows for personal growth and the opportunity to develop self-confidence, courage, and resilience. I want to guide you to discover your strengths that will enable you to work towards emotional wellness, solve problems, and make hard decisions. You deserve to learn the skills that will carry you throughout life beyond the counseling relationship.
